Although I have worked mostly with composing, arranging and conducting in recent years, I have my base education as a jazz bassist from the Norwegian Academy of Music, with Sigurd Hole as my main teacher. I have played at festivals such as Oslo Jazz Festival, Kongsberg Jazz Festival, Lillestrøm Big Band Festival and the Serendip Festival with various small bands and in a number of big bands in the Oslo area, such as Birkelunden Big band, Bjørvika Business Band, NMH Big band, Ski Big band, Bajazz Big band, etc. I also play regularly in the event band A-lista partyband.

In addition to bass, I play various woodwind instruments, which I have also been lucky enough to play in various big bands and in a number of wind bands such as Christiania Blåseensemble, as well as in a number of other constellations. Here aswell I prefer the lower register, with bass clarinet and baritone saxophone as favorites, but I'm happy to double on clarinets and saxophones as needed.
